    Description

White Star Line RMS Titanic Historical Plaque - w/ Actual Coal Fragment & COA - GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC!
From the Workshop of Artist Craig Tinder - Appreciate the art, learn the story, feel the history
This is a unique opportunity to own an
actual fragment of coal from the ill-fated RMS Titanic
that was retrieved from the recovery expedition in 1994.
    This
    8” x 10” (20 x 25 cm)
historical plaque combines this rare artifact, along with the story of the piece, and a beautifully detailed, engraved illustration of “Maiden Farewell - 1912 Titanic” created by artist Craig Tinder.
The RMS Titanic was the most luxurious and largest steamship of her day. Tragedy struck on April 15, 1912 when the ship sank in the middle of the North Atlantic after striking an iceberg. Titanic was deemed unsinkable and only carried lifeboats for half of the passengers. The massive ship, which took three years to build, sank in less than three hours. The sinking of Titanic resulted in the deaths of 1,500 crew members and passengers.
Titanic was powered by twenty-nine boilers which measured over 15-feet, at a weight of 92 tons each. The ship initially set sail with over 6,000 tons of coal on board and had already consumed half of that by the time of the ship’s sinking. As the ship sank and broke in half, a majority of the remaining coal spilled out across the ocean floor.
This artifact is an actual piece of RMS Titanic’s coal that was retrieved from the ocean floor during the 1994 Research and Recovery Expedition by RMS Titanic, Inc. The fragment contained in this plaque is from artifact No. 940036 - which is the 36th object documented from the 1994 expedition.
Own a piece of history and a part of the limited series of Historical Relic Plaques from the Workshop of Artist, Craig Tinder. Each plaque includes:
Piano black wood base - ready to hang or stand upright with the included kickstand
Metallic Engraved Fine Art Illustration by Artist Craig Tinder
Actual authenticated artifact from the RMS Titanic (actual fragment varies - photo is of a representative sample and will vary slightly)
Historical data plate providing provenance and all known historical details about the relic
Gold-engraved Certificate of Authenticity dated and signed by the Artist, Craig Tinder
Very limited quantities on hand - once these
