    SOUTHAMPTON CELEBRATION
    At 11:40 PM
, on April 14, 1912, in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic, the RMS Titanic, just 4 days into her maiden voyage, struck an iceberg.
In less than three hours, the world’s newest, largest, most luxurious ocean liner was at the bottom of the ocean.
She took with her over 1500 people from every walk of life, from the very richest in the world, to the poorest emigrant seeking a new life in the new world.
Titanic also took with her most of her crew, including her Captain, Edward J. Smith, a seasoned seaman with over forty years upon the waves.
The event rocked both sides of the Atlantic and the world to its foundations.
    WHAT IF….
The world’s most famous tragedy, instead had a joyous, and happy ending?
Imagine if Titanic hadn’t struck that iceberg.
What if the Titanic had finished her voyage to Pier 59, Chelsea Pier in New York, and then, in a few days, made the return voyage home to Southampton to cheering throngs.
Certainly the pride and joy of both Ireland and Great Britain would have inspired both admiration and celebration.
Perhaps the officers might have disembarked and stopped in a local tavern for one victory toast, and cigars!
This painting by artist Rick Reeves captures that wonderous moment of Celebration with Captain Smith and his officers, along with Thomas Andrews, and
    J. Bruce Ismay, all together, celebrating and toasting their triumphant maiden voyage of the RMS TITANIC!
    WHAT IF YOU,
could be an eyewitness to that history making moment of Triumph!
There is an empty seat at the table just for You.
    YOU CAN!
