About the Fabric
Prior to the maiden voyage in April 1912, Titanic's finishing touches were made in Belfast, Ireland. A traveling merchant seaman visited the then famous ship in the final fitting-out stage and decided to take a piece of scrap fabric as a souvenir. He gave this sizeable piece of green baize to his sister, who later passed it down to her daughter-in-law. It stayed with the same family until 1998. The green baize in this display is a small piece of that souvenir scrap fabric.
It has been on public display at the 2017 Ronald Reagan National Library Titanic Exhibit in Simi Valley, CA and at the 2018 National Geographic Titanic Museum Exhibit in Washington DC and personally viewed by James Cameron and Dr. Robert Ballard.

The sturdy display is a two-piece 2" x 2" (two inches) clear plastic snap case. Each comes with an acrylic display stand to hold your Titanic treasure upright for all to see. The fabric used in the photograph will not be the exact one shipped, actual piece may slightly vary in size, shape and possibly in shade. Free US shipping will be standard first-class in a padded envelope for added protection. Handling time is typically one-day. If not 100% satisfied you may return it at your expense pursuant to eBay rules.
My Story
Gem Mint, Inc. / TitanicItems (website) is a 100% U.S. Disabled Veteran owned business. The collection or in parts has been exhibited in the Ronald Reagan National Library, National Geographic Museum, Branson and Pigeon Forge Titanic Museums. It started as a private Titanic artifact collection with sales generated typically used to fund purchases of more relics that are researched, curated, and shared. In 2005 and with an extensive collection, were the first on eBay to regularly sell smaller sized authentic Titanic relics at an affordable price. Be careful, smaller "speck" sellers and many others bought my wreck wood at one time and claimlessly use my COA years after.
