SOME TREMENDOUS CONTENT IN THIS REPRINT LETTER FROM COLONEL ARCHIBALD GRACIE, TITANIC PASSENGER, TO LOUIS OGDEN CARPATHIA PASSENGER.OGDEN TOOK MANY OF THE PHOTOS OF THE TITANIC'S LIFEBOATS APPROACHING AND BEING LOADED ONTO CARPATHIA.
GRACIE IS NOW (SEPTEMBER 1912) WORKING ON HIS BOOK, "THE TRUTH ABOUT THE TITANIC," AND HE IS ASKING OGDEN TO PROVIDE HIM WITH SOME OF HIS PHOTOS FOR THE FORTHCOMIG BOOK.
HE ALSO REQUESTS THAT LOUIS AND MRS. OGDEN SHARE THEIR RECOLLECTIONS OF THAT MORNING.
IN THE POST SCRIPT HE MENTIONS 3RD OFFICER HERBERT PITTMAN, WHO HAS ASKED GRACIE TO REMINGD THE OGDENS THAT, HE TOO WOULD LIKE COPIES OF THEIR PHOTOS.
SADLY, GRACIE WILL DIE IN JUST 3 MONTHS NEVER FULLY RECOVERING FROM HIS TIME IN THE FREEZING WATER AND THEN SPENDING THE NIGHT ON LIGHTOLLER'S OVERTURNED COLLAPSABLE B LIFEBOAT.
GRACIES LAST WORDS ON HIS DEATHBED ARE, " WE'VE GOT TO GET EVERYONE INTO THE BOATS."
