Starboard Forecastle Deck At The Wreck Site-
Quite a view down 12,000 feet of the
Titanic's
starboard side railing still intact at the forecastle deck after more than 100 years on the ocean floor.
Visible are the two massive chains that by design dropped through the deck and out the hull's side to hold the anchors. Also visible are her mooring line bollards which appear as circles at the railing.
Note the long troughs which guided the chains from the winch at the bow through the deck and out to each cradle to hold the anchor.
Also visible far across the deck are the
Titanic's
port side mooring bollards.
Remarkable.
