This is a boom microphone assembly with a 11 inch cord terminated in a JJ-055 two contact female connector. It is supplied with a M-51/UR carbon snap in microphone cartridge and a breath moisture

These microphone assemblies can be used with Korean War vintage vehicular radio sets and can be used on can be used with armored vehicle T-56 series CVC Helmets that require a carbon microphone.
These will plug into the AN/GSA-6 Chest Set Group used in military vehicles.
NOTE: THIS ITEM CAN BE MODIFIED TO BE USED WITH AIRCRAFT FLIGHT HELMETS BY REMOVING THE JJ055 FEMALE CONNECTOR PLUG AND REPLACEING IT WITH A PJ-292 MALE PLUG.
