Fabulous reproduction of the costume worn by Marilyn Monroe in the musical number, Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend, from the classic movie, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.  Includes gown, pink stretch knit gloves with ribbon trim "bracelets," necklace and earrings, repro vintage Barbie open toe black heels, COA, labeled display stand, and package cut outs.
Flawed condition. The gown is unevenly colored with some fading spots and areas on the front side. Also there are stitching holes where the gown was kept in place in the package. The formerly clear elastic straps were yellowed and dried and have been removed. Not a flaw, but just an FYI that the bra area has a very thin layer of foam facing to keep the shape of the dress and to look more buxom. The necklace was stitched closed originally and will need the same for re-dressing. Please see photos to make your own judgment as to condition. Photos of the bodice with the most noticeable fade spot done without flash. All other pieces are in very good - excellent condition. From a genuine sold out late 1990's era collector edition Barbie doll by Mattel. Designed for the traditional full busted Barbie body, so should fit many 11.5 - 12" fashion dolls.
Great beginnings for on over-dye custom outfit. Think, red, purple or black. Go Goth, Go Halloween.
