    Hand Painted Enameled Sterling Silver Winston Churchill Thimble
    by Peter Swingler * Dated 1977
    This vintage sterling silver thimble has enameled sides and was hand painted and signed by Peter Swingler. Inside the top are the English sterling hallmarks for 1977 and the maker's mark for James Swann & Son. One side is painted with a miniature portrait of Winston Churchill and the other side has a medallion with laurel leaves and the inscription "Winston Churchill 1784 - 1974".
    It's in perfect condition with no damage to the silver or enamel. It's about an American size 8 (15 mm diameter opening).
