Up for sale is an order of half a pound (8 0z) of red wiggler worms, ie
Eisenia fetida
. Total about 500+ worms with all stages and sizes. These are exclusively used for composting operations. Half pound this worms will eat up to about quarter pound of waste per day. They turn your leftover kitchen scraps into black gold called worm casting as they are the best known organic fertilizers around. Worms will double in population in 6 months and double in weight in 12 months.
You will need to prepare a 10 gallon or 18 gallon plastic bin with lid. Best media is coconut coir. They are in the reptile section in the local pet store.
if you cannot find the coir,
then we suggest is finely shredded Brown paper cardboard boxes. Moist a to a level so you cannot squeeze extra water out of it. You will need about half a bin full of that as a bedding before introducing the worms.
