Antique Enameled Sterling Silver Thimble w/ Gold Stars & Stone Top
Germany * Circa mid 1900s
This elegantly beautiful silver thimble has enameled sides of pale yellow that have been overlaid with four burnished gold stars.
A delicate engine turned guilloche design is engraved in the silver and shows through the translucent enamel
. Above the rim it
is marked "Sterling" and "Germany".
The top is set with a dimpled amber colored glass. The condition is excellent, in round with no holes, dents or repairs. The enamel and stone top are both perfect with no damage. It's about an American size 9-10 (16.1 mm diameter opening) and the inside is gilded.
