Description
This beautifulTitanic
First Class Wisteria-patterned soup bowl
replicates those used by first-class passengers aboard the White Star Line’s ill-fated
RMS Titanic
, which struck an iceberg and met its doom 109 years ago (on the night of April 14–15, 1912) during its maiden voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. The bowl has been duplicated in the famous turquoise-and-brown Wisteria pattern seen on dishes in first-class dining rooms. Wisteria-pattern dishes were also used in
Titanic
’s Verandah Cafés, which were casual retreats where first-class passengers could sit on wicker furniture and enjoy an afternoon tea, coffee, or other beverages. The bowl measures 9 inches in diameter and includes the iconic White Star Line flag insignia.
